Around Town – Denver Firefighter’s Museum Tour

Join us on Saturday, April 18th, 1:30 pm at the Firefighters Museum, 1326 Tremont Place, Denver (303-892-1436).  The Museum offers a self-guided tour with not only outstanding exhibits on the history of fire fighting in Denver focusing on the Denver Fire Department, but innovative and exciting hands-on activities that allow visitors to interact with the traditional exhibits.  Gamma Phis, friends, and family welcome!  Cost: Adults – $6.00, Seniors (ages 65 and above)/Students with valid ID – $5.00, Children (ages 2-12) – $4.00  Parking: Metered street parking costs $1.00/hr with a 2 hour limit (coins, Visa & Mastercards). Bags larger than 11” x 15” are required to be placed in the self-service check area. Backpacks, carriers, and purses worn on the back of any size may not be worn in the galleries; – Photos – Flash Photography and videotaping are permitted for private, noncommercial use only. Tripods not allowed.; – Cell Phones – Use only in the lobby.; – Strollers – Are permitted. Strollers can be parked, once folded, in the area behind the ‘Thank You’ sign by the front door. Museum staff is not responsible for lost or stolen strollers. Please carry all valuables with you.; – Accessibility – The 1909 firehouse main entrance is wheel-chair accessible and does not require a ramp. However, as a historic house museum, the Museum does not have access between the two gallery floors other than two staircases.  I hope you can join us!
