Marion Downs

It was with great sadness that we learned about the passing of Marion Downs, a Gamma Phi that celebrated her 100th Birthday in January.  She had a love of life and went skydiving when she was 90.  She created an infant hearing screening program that has since been adopted by hospitals nationwide.  Marion was our speaker at Founders Day when she was in her 90’s.  The Marion Downs Foundation will host a celebration of life that is open to the public on January 9th.  For time and location, call 303-322-1871 or send an e-mail to contact@mariondowns.com.  There is a nice obituary at: http://www.denverpost.com/News/Local/ci_26994921/Worldrenowned-audiologist-Marion-Downs-dies-at-age-100.  Donations could also be made to the Gamma Phi Beta Foundation.  Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
